In the Hostezo app (residents)
- Open the app, tap Me, then Delete my account at the bottom. It is done at once.
- If you still live in a PG, your owner keeps your name, number and rent records until you leave.
In the Hostezo Owner app (PG owners)
- Tap Profile, then Delete my account at the bottom, and type DELETE.
- Your PG stops at once. After 30 days your PG, rooms, residents and rent records are deleted for good. Call us before then to undo it.
- A manager's login is deleted at once; the PG stays with the owner.
By email
- Send an email to support@hostezo.com with the subject "Delete my Hostezo account".
- Write the mobile number you log in with (resident), or your User ID (PG owner or manager).
- We may call or message that number once, only to confirm it is really you.
- We delete the account within 30 days and email you when it is done.
What we delete
- Your login: your mobile number or User ID, and your password.
- Your profile photo and any ID photo.
- Your name and mobile number, from every record we keep.
What we keep, and for how long
- Rent and payment records of your stay, without your name or number, for as long as your PG owner needs them for their accounts or the law requires (usually up to 8 years for tax records).
- Nothing else.
If you are a PG owner
Deleting an owner account also closes your PG on Hostezo. Your residents will no longer see your PG in their app. Before you ask, download or note any rent records you need.
